After more than a decade leading operational improvement work in healthcare, founder Lindsay Shababy saw the same pattern repeatedly: organizations were overwhelmed by complexity, improvement efforts were often overcomplicated, and frontline teams were left trying to sustain changes without the right systems or support in place.

Too often, improvement became another initiative rather than a practical way of operating. Ironwood was created to change that.
